These books have been used by their previous owners to varying degrees. In many cases, they therefore show signs of use -- which we have, however, indicated clearly in the case of more severe wear. In the course of the 19th century and well into the 20th century, in particular, inferior paper was used for the production of numerous older editions, which has often darkened in colour or lost its firmness over the course of time. Some of the books in this auction, which were used as study and working materials, were marked upon or show handwritten notes by their former owners, but in many cases these should be regarded as interesting additions and corrections rather than as disturbing additions. A number of the works included here also bear one or even several owner's marks, so-called ex-libris designation labels, or bear owners’ names inserted by hand. We have endeavoured to comment on these testimonies to earlier times with some biographical information, in order to offer them to you as a contribution to the cultural history of collecting.

We charge you for shipping:

Within Germany: 20,- €
Within the EU (incl. Switzerland and Norway)): 35,- €
Overseas: 65,- €

We hope you enjoy studying the auction and will find many pieces that you can hopefully add to your collection.

Best regards,
The Künker Team.
